ICT resource – Have
fun teaching
I decided to
write about the website Have fun teaching;
this since I am living in the same situation as many other teachers; with a
great need of free teaching resources. This website has helped me and saved me
a lot of time looking for good resources so that’s why I would like to share it
and hopefully other teachers can benefit from it too.
What kind
of ICT resource is it and how can it be used?
Have fun teaching is a website with free quality teaching resources for
primary school. It’s mainly a resource for teachers but can also be used by the
pupils. Teachers can find free printable worksheets, flashcards, activities and
lesson plans but also songs and videos to use in the classroom. Pupils can go
in to watch the videos and the songs, a good idea would be in the company with
their parents.
This resource is
really easy to use though it has a clear and concreate structure. And you do
not need to register to be able to download or print the worksheets and
activities. You just need a computer and internet, enter the website http://www.havefunteaching.com/ , where you will find the homepage with the categories:
worksheet, activities, tools, songs, videos, workbooks, shop and my account. Then
under each category you will find many subtitles so you can directly go to what
you are looking for.
Here are some specific
examples of each category:
- Worksheets: Basic skills, colouring pages, create your own
worksheet, crossword puzzles, grade level, holidays, math, reading, science,
social studies, test practice, themes, word search puzzles and writing
worksheets.
- Activities: Art and craft, holidays, games, smartboard lessons
and thematic units.
- Tools: apps, classroom decoration, lesson plans, signs and
posters, flash cards and word lists.
- Songs: alphabet songs, counting songs, math songs, shape
songs and songs for kids.
- Videos:
alphabet video,
character video, grammar video, phonics video and shape video.
- Workbooks:
English
workbook, math workbook, comprehension workbook and science workbook.
- Shop: Music CD’s, Video DVD’s, packages etc.
The last title
is my account but it’s just for those
who want to buy any extra material that need to register and log in.

teachers who are looking for fun and learning activities to do in the class and
do not want to spend too much time looking for it, I recommend you Have fun teaching.
