ICT Resource that is available for me as a teacher and my pupils.
The Resource:
The ICT resource is a website known as skolfederation.se
It is a digital learning service provided by the municipality in my case the Botkyrka municipality.
How It Works:
One can log in directly via skolferedation.se or alternatively via the school platform VKlass.
Under the homepage of VKlass select Lärressurer located on the left-hand side.
The page will show nine(9) different digital learning services named (pedagogiska tjänster)pedagogical services to choose from.
Select the digital icon service that befits your class, subject and lesson plan/project/theme.
Once you select the icon it will take you back to municipality page asking your username and password.
Login in using your official school address eg mellody.akinyi@botkyrka.se
You can use the same password for the school email or you can opt to change.
Under any given icon there are sub-icons/columns to chose from .once more all depends on the lesson plan.

What you need to make it work:
One has to be a member either privately or through the school.
You need an iPad or laptop, an email address and login password.
Preferable a whiteboard and a projector if you have a larger class and most importantly stable electricity and accessiable internet.
How The Resource Can Be Used By Teachers:
They can use it as a tool to diversify and differentiate teaching instructions since it has texts, audios, films, video clips, games etc
It can also be used as a summative assessment or formative tool as the teacher can follow up with questions already given from the text, audios or video clips.
The teachers can use it as a platform for inclusion as it has the possibility to be used either with the whole class, with groups, in pairs or with an individual.
How Can It Be Used By Pupils:
Pupils can use to train their learning skills e.g receptive, information, memory and production skills.
Pupils with reading and writing difficulties can use the videos, undertext and the audiobooks as a study support or help to develop their learning.
The study support in the inläsninstjanst link icon which is provided in different mother languages can be used by all pupils to understand better but most especially the new ones in Sweden who are yet to grasp the language.
The pupils can use it for educational games and get immediate feedback if the answer they select is right or wrong.
Advantages:
-The website covers a wide geographical area in Sweden e:g Inlästningsjänst is in 234 municipalities out of the 290 in Sweden.
-It has a guide that is easy to understand and follow.
-All materials are age appropriate and it equally adheres to the revised Lgr 11 which is now more geared to ICT teaching and learning developments.
-On Liberonline link under lärrummet, their is a quick guide to Lgr 11: Curriculum for the compulsory school, preschool class and recreation centre thus making pedagogy more reliable, effective and efficient.Besides, it has lesson tips.
-It is interactive making teaching and learning enjoyable.
-It takes into consideration the fundamental values and tasks of the school as indicated on the Lgr 11(pg 83)under the mother tongue tuition and I quote.
" Teaching should give pupils the opportunities to develop their cultural identity and become bilingual".
-Easy and simple to navigate through the icons.
-All subjects are included further it some have news, actual happenings(like breaking news in media).
-The Days Artful(Dagen Klurig)can we used as lessons warm-up tips to keep pupils focused and actually enjoy lessons.
-You can login to pupils individual iPad using your password and assign the same work or a different one.
Other Considerations When Using This Resource:
-Always have a backup plan just in case the internet fails or due to blackout.
-Have a clear pedagogical objective and lesson plan.
-Have in mind all different type of learning styles and your pupils' levels.Evaluate every icon and its suitability to your class.
-Always make sure to log out when not using private iPad or laptop.
-Evaluate accessibility of equipment eg laptop, projector, whiteboard and internet.
-Check out issues to do with sound effect and lights etc before you begin.
